NETZ Bangladesh visit to Sirajgonj (SPPWR Project – implemented by WE CAN Bangladesh)

Peter Dietzel- Executive Director, NETZ, Franziska Katja- Volunteer, Kirsten- Volunteer, NETZ, Mirjam- Volunteer, NETZ, Sara Khatun, Programme Manager, NETZ and Jinat Ara Haque, EC, WE CAN was visited Strengthened Civil Society Protects and Promotes Women’s Rights project in Sirajgonj funded by European Union, supported by NETZ Bangladesh and implemented by WE CAN Bangladesh.

They observed the different activities of the project in Sirajgonj performed by WE CAN Bangladesh. The activities were – 3 CSO meetings, Union level alliance meeting, 2 Union level dialogues, Upazila level CSO alliance meeting, Quiz competition in schools, Cultural programs etc.

Communities are working to protect Child Marriages and VAW. RTI: Application submitted and received health & services of safety-net. Through mobilization and combined attempts, protect area from drug use and prevent from drug business. People discussed on CMRA, VAW and different social issues in their families and community to prevent Child Marriages.

WE CAN organised Drama training and Quiz competition in Ayesha Fazlar High School, Dhubil, Raygonj on Domestic violence, child marriage, VAWG etc.
