Inauguration of banner on Anti-sexual harassment policy in educational institutions

On the occasion of International Women's Day 2022, We Can launched banners on anti-sexual harassment policies in 6 educational institutions of the country throughout the month of March. The event was organized in collaboration with UN Women and Global Affairs Canada under the project 'Combating Gender Based Violence in Bangladesh'.

The banner was unveiled at Government Azizul Haque College, Bogra Polytechnic Institute, Comilla University, Comilla Victoria College, Patuakhali University of Science and Technology and Patuakhali Government College on different days from March 9, 2022 to March 22, 2022. The purpose of the event was to disseminate the instructions of the High Court on the anti-sexual harassment policy for educational institutions in 2009, the information of the Anti-Sexual Harassment Committee of their respective educational institutions and the emergency numbers related to violence against women and children among the people. Therefore, the banner has been placed in front of the administrative building, main gate and various departments of the educational institutions so that it can be easily seen by all.

The inaugural celebration of the banner was carried out in 6 educational institutions of the country with the spontaneous participation of the teachers and students of those institutions.
